TNA's reputation as both the 'second company' and of it's general product differs greatly from mark to mark. ( A mark is a wrestling fan). While they have some great talent, the storylines can be very weak. But that does not conscern me for the moment. I'm going to concentrate on the Dublin house show.
The National Stadium on South Circular Road was filled to capacity, and the crowd were buzzing. To add more incentive to the crowd, the loudest fans would be brought backstage throughout the night. Alas, I was not chosen! /sigh
Rather than going through a blow by blow account of each match, this will do:
- Alex Shelly Retained his X Division Championship in a Triple Threat
against Doug Williams and Eric Young - Beautiful People beat ODB and Taylor Wilde
- Samoa Joe pinned Sheik Abdul Bashir
- Abyss and Matt Morgan lost to Team 3D in a Dublin Street Fight.
- Beer Money beat Lethal Consequences in Tag Team Action
- Kurt Angle got the win over AJ Styles in a great main event
I'll stick some photos up during the week. I know most people diss pro wrestling, but if anyone is ever offered the chance to go to a WWE or TNA show, jump at it! The atmosphere and fun are worth the entrance price.
We then popped to Whelans to get our grove on to Ian I Brow to finish a fun night.
Score:
8/10
No sweaty fat guys then? P:
ReplyDeleteThere was a lot of big sweaty fans, but the innocence of the children in attendance cancelled our their aura!
