Who am I?

During the day, I'm a mild mannered student in Dublin and by night I'm a mild manner amateur comedian trying to make it in the world of comedy, through stand up and with my sketch group "The Glen Coco Experience".

"What does your blog's name mean?"
Glad you asked, ever present, hypothetical reader! I came up with "The Roger-Moore Algorithm" purely by accident. I was sitting in my Data Structures and Algorithm II exam in May 2009 looking back over my answers. I realised that while answering a question on the Boyer–Moore string search algorithm I had written "...the Roger-Moore algorithm...". Needless to say I corrected my mistake but I was sort of impressed at this occurrence of my brain's innate ability to not pay attention when necessary so I decided I'd use the name somewhere so I changed the name of my blog to "The Roger-Moore Algorithm".

"Having only started stand up comedy in February 2009, David Reilly has quickly become one of the budding up and comers on the Irish comedy scene having performed with big names such as Ardal O'Hanlon, Neil Delamere and Shane Mauss amongst others. David is set to join the long list of successful comedians hailing from UCD. David runs two comedy clubs, Chairman LMAO's Comedy Blah Blah in the Twisted Pepper and the UCD Comedy Club. He has also contributed material to both BBC and RTÉ. David is also part of the successful sketch comedy trio The Glen Coco Experience who are always making waves on Irish comedy scene, having just headlined three nights of sold out shows at the Kilkenny Fringe. TV3 News once interviewed him in HMV about downloading music when he was younger, but that's not entirely relevant."
